fungus

Hey Fresh Face Beauties and FlawLESS fans! You know who I am. I am Dr. Candrice, your favorite, fun, board-certified dermatologist. Your go-to-girl for everything healthy hair, skin and nails. This is a space where we focus LESS on flaws and more on the beauty within.

Do you pay attention to your feet? Let’s keep them smelling and feeling great… fungus free!

  1. Fungus loves to grow in warm dark moist places. Think… sweaty feet in damp socks and shoes. Sounds really…..well… moist and squishy. If you have a tendency for sweaty feet, keep a change of socks with you.
  2. After your shower or bath, make sure the feet and spaces between your toes are dry. A hand-held hair dryer set to a cool setting aimed at the toes may help.
  3. If nail care is out-sourced to a nail salon, be observant. Sterilized nail tools should be used on each customer. No sharing! Don’t be afraid to ask if the instruments have been sterilized.
